21 West 10th began its life in 1913 as a one-story building for New England National Bank.  The architectural firm of Wilder and Wight designed and constructed this one story granite structure with a 35 foot ceiling and skylights in the roof.

In November 1930, the building was redesigned to accommodate twelve additional stories.
